100% to charity

Anyone who watched ‘What happens to the London Marathon Millions?’ on Channel 4 on 9th April can be re-assured that every penny of every pound received from runners in the Knowle Fun Run - entry fees, sponsorship or donation will be paid directly into the Knowle and Dorridge Lions charity account and donated to the nominated charities in September, or retained for local causes and spent within 2 years

Knowle and Dorridge Lions only engage companies to provide services that we cannot get sponsored, e.g. the timing system and chips

Due to the generosity of our sponsors and the fact that all Lions (and other volunteers on the day) give their time without charge, all costs of organising this event are covered before anyone enters. No one is employed

Knowle and Dorridge Lions are registered with the charities commission (registered charity no. 509993) and submit our accounts for their inspection and publication on time every year. This ensures total transparency and clarity
