The Course
Due to the unsafe ground conditions around the new MUGA (Multi Use Games Area) on Arden playing field we are forced to start/finish this years run from the front drive of Arden school. The resulting route is c.4.8 miles. Sorry if this disappoints those used to the usual 5.2 mile route. To see the 2 lap route visit http://www.mapometer.com/running/route_1964782.html
As in the last 2 years, after running around the field runners will exit the front of the school and along Station Road to the High Street
The course has never been exactly 5 miles, probably closer to 5.2 miles depending upon your measuring system.
There will be 5 water stations but please remember to bring a bottle to carry yourself

Runners and motor vehicles don’t mix
IMPORTANT NOTICE of ROAD CLOSURES on FUN RUN DAY
The Knowle Fun Run has been running for over 25 years with an exemplary safety record. Let’s keep it that way
The Police and Solihull Council require that runners and traffic should not share the roads at the same time during the Fun Run
Between 11:45 am and 2:00 pm all traffic entering Knowle, from all directions, will be subject to a diversion
Movement of vehicles in, out or within the Fun Run zone will be prohibited
During this time you should make preparatory or alternative arrangements as appropriate
The map shows which roads will be closed and the location and direction of the diversions. These have been kept to an absolute minimum to limit disruption and inconvenience for residents. All have been agreed with the Police and Council
We recognise that residents and visitors alike may be inconvenienced during the run. We apologise in advance for this
If you foresee issues or difficulties arising for you from these arrangements get in touch. Leave your details and a representative of Knowle & Dorridge Lions Club will get back to you as soon as practical. This number can also be used for emergencies on the day of the Fun Run.
