Unsung hero

Many runners will have read of the driver of the school coach who died last Tuesday following a tragic accident on the Warwick Road in Hatton.

Few will know that Dave Franklin drove the lead timing car in the Knowle Fun Run the previous day, and had done so for the past 3 years.

Dave performed the role for our sponsors Look Local. Matt Shaw from Look Local said: ‘We are all devastated, he was a true gentleman’. 

The funeral will be at Robin Hood crematorium on Friday 28th May at 3pm
