V.I.P.
Every year we invite a well known name, tv or radio presenter to start the Fun Runs and award the trophies. We were very disappointed when Karren Brady told us she would not be able fulfil her offer to join us.
It’s always difficult to find someone new, especially at short notice, which is why we were delighted when Charles Hanson, auctioneer on the BBCs Bargain Hunt and Antiques Road Trip offered to drop his gavel in favour of our starters horn
Well known from his appearances on Bargain Hunt and Antiques Road Trip, Charles is used to raising extra pounds from antiques hopes that his involvement will encourage even more runners to do the same for charity. Highlights of his auctioneering career which began at Christies in London have included the sale of Queen Victoria’s bloomers for £5,000 and the sale of a rare chipped teapot for £69,000.

Perhaps you know someone who may liked to be invited next year?
